Yotam Ottolenghis reputation for complex recipes and never-ending ingredients lists had to be at least partially debunked with this, his first book entirely devoted to baking  a subject that is intimidating enough for most home cooks as it is.
The tone of Ottolenghi and Gohs writing is friendly and warm, knowledgeable without being preachy, and the recipes are clear and detailed but never overwhelming or pretentious. We designed the book to be just those things, too, along with beautiful photography as the... icing on the cake.
