Skincare to the rescue of firefighters? Sounds too easy. However, with occupational cancer cases rising at an alarming rate, there is a dire need for education around contamination and exposure. This is precisely the challenge that a small team of active firefighters from Quebec, Canada, have taken on. In developing a range of highly effective skincare products, they are shining a light on the issue as well as proposing a straightforward path towards the solution.​​​​​​​
The cleanser, scrub, and moisturizer are formulated with natural ingredients which are potent enough to be used by firefighters as part of their decontamination routine, but gentle enough to become a part of the whole family's daily life. Therefore, the branding and packaging design had to have global appeal, while still maintaining a unique connection to its primary target.​​​​​​​
The products themselves being a vehicle for the brand's broader awareness efforts, we also developed a number of communication tools to help the team spread the word at various events on an ongoing basis. The diagonal line pattern becomes an eye-catching and instantly recognizable feature, supported by bold type treatment and straightforward, occasionally tongue-in-cheek, messaging.​​​​​​​
